Can Vaping Cause Popcorn Lung?

Almost twenty years ago, some flavoring factory workers thought that e-liquid would cause the disease that called popcorn lung (real name: bronchiolitis obliterans), because some e-liquid contains acetyl or diacetyl propionyl.

However, there has never been a case of diagnosis of popcorn lung in a vaper. Moreover, cigarette smokers do not seem to have any popcorn lung, even if the cigarettes contain between 100 and 750 times the diacetyl electronic cigarettes. With the increasing number of news media (usually negative) concerns and anti-vaping public health activists pay close attention to, the fact that any real connection between vaping and popcorn lung would be missed.
